Joys and Concerns
Please keep these concerns in your minds and hearts in the coming days.
Within our church family:
Those Deacons we hold in prayer this week: Francis Barr, Liz Hoffman Bauer, Ann Beattie, Angilee Beery, Stan Beery and Joan Fahs.
We pray for those who were unable to worship with us due to their current health limitations, including: Jane Cassell, Barbara Smith, Eunice Brightbill and Beth Stone.
Ruth Rowe and her family at the death of her sister, Nell VonEhr on Friday, May 6. The Memorial Service was Sunday, May 22. Nell was also Niel Bendsen’s aunt.
April White on the death of her father, Roger Inlow, Saturday morning, May 21.
         Bob Frantz hospitalized at Parkview.
Harper & Aubrey, twin daughters of Jennifer Jones and Trisha Hanes who are hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Dupont Hospital. Jennifer and Trisha hope to bring their daughters home the beginning of this week.
Milly Gilbert recovering at home following a recent hospitalization.
Ray Bowman receiving hospice care at Timbercrest Healthcare.
Ann Hartsough recovering at home following hip replacement surgery.
Within the wider community:
Our sister church in El Salvador, Emanuel Baptist. We pray for the Salvadoran people as the Mauricio Funes government seeks to strengthen human rights in their country. May the government be especially conscious of the needs of the poor and disabled.
For those in Louisiana who are continuing to deal with the threat of flooding, loss of property and income and the disruption of life.
For those in northern Nigeria where current violence was recently ignited by the presidential election results. Riots erupted in many northern cities and towns close to Kulp Bible College and EYN Headquarters. Five EYN churches were attacked as well. We pray also for the continuation of the reconciliation process.
And in the midst of all our concerns, ~ we pray for peace.
Messenger Bible Study group will meet Monday, May 23, at 7:00 p.m. in Timbercrest Education Room. We will study Grady Snyder's article in the May issue of Messenger. Discussion will be led by Dwight Beery. All are welcome. Questions? Call Marie Willoughby, 982-6970.

90th Birthday Celebration
