Joys and Concerns
Please keep these concerns in your minds and hearts in the coming days.

Within our church family:
Those Deacons we hold in prayer this week: Di Wion, Dorotha Williams, Don & Marie Willoughby and Deacon Chair Barbara McFadden.
We pray for those who were unable to worship with us due to their current health limitations, including: Beth Stone, Erma Petry, Fred & Lois Roop and Raymon Eller.
Ed Butterbaugh hospitalized at KCH in Warsaw.
April White’s parents, Roger & Joan Inlow, hospitalized at St. Joe. Roger was burned in an accident on the farm on Friday, March 25. Joan had a stroke on Sunday, March 27.
Jim & Suzie Townsend’s grandson, Andy, who is hospitalized at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis with burns to his face, arms, and hands. Andy’s prognosis is hopeful; however, he will be hospitalized for at least 4 weeks. Andy traveled to El Salvador with Jim a few years ago to visit our sister church, Emmanuel Baptist.
Those people in our congregation and from our families who are traveling during Spring Break. May they return renewed and refreshed.

Within the wider community:
Our sister church in El Salvador, Emanuel Baptist. Let us give prayers of support for Augusto Cotto, an Emmanuel member and Police Commander whose department works tirelessly to decrease delinquency in San Salvador.
We continue our prayers for the people of Japan.
         We pray for peace.

Thank You
We want to express our great appreciation and thanks for the wonderful poster which was prepared to celebrate Raymon’s 101st Birthday. We are grateful to be a part of such a special faith family.            Raymon Eller and his family

If you cannot attend, you are invited to partner with us by helping sponsor the evening. Our families represent all walks of life within our community. Please send your gift to Manchester Early Learning Center, 806 West South Street.

Jesus Christ Superstar to be performed
On April 22 (Good Friday) at 7pm and Saturday, April 23, at 2pm youth and adults will perform a modified version of the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar. This musical, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, is loosely based on the gospel accounts of Jesus’s last week in Jerusalem. It's primary focus is political and interpersonal struggles between Judas and Jesus. Donations will be collected at the door to cover expenses and to assist the youth in their denominational activities, including Christian Citizenship Seminar, workcamps and National Youth Conference.

2011 Relay for Life of North Manchester
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life® will be held at the Manchester College Track and Field on April 29 & 30. For more information, call 1-800-227-2345, visit RelayForLife.org, or e-mail Lisa Ulrey lkulrey@hotmail.com.

MarketPlace 29 A.D.
June 19 – 22
Kids aren’t the only ones we need at VBS! Adults & youth can sign up on the poster in the Narthex. Remember, this is a special opportunity for people of all generations to participate…as a vendor (assistant) in the MarketPlace or as a ‘village wanderer’ or as a tribal parent (assistant) or even as our ‘synagogue rabbi!’ We always need a VBS music leader (assistant) and recreation leader (assistant) and Bible Story Tellers. Maybe you’d rather help with food prep or childcare? You’re welcome to contact Laura Gable with any questions, suggestions, and how you’d like to be a part of this awesome experience!
If we don’t hear from you first, you may be hearing from us! Feel free to contact any of the VBS directors: Laura Gable (578-0378), Jennifer Reichenbach or Kim Reinoehl.
